 El Dorado County  is coming to the communities of Greenwood and Somerset.

The program offers free legal services to people 60 years of age and older who live in El Dorado County. Attorneys offer advice, education, and advocacy on a wide range of topics including public benefits, scams and abuse, restraining orders, planning for incapacity, landlord tenant issues, wills and trusts, consumer law, land issues and more.

For seniors living in the north county, attorney Diana Steele will be at the Greenwood Community Center, 4401 Highway 193 in Greenwood, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates: Jan. 27, Feb. 24 and March 23.

For seniors living in the south county, attorney Steele will be at the Pioneer Park Community Center, 6740 Fair Play Road in Somerset, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates: March 30, June 29 and Aug. 31

The main office of Senior Legal Services is located in the Senior Center at 937 Spring St. in Placerville. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An appointment is required to meet with an attorney.

Legal services can also be arranged by appointment for residents in South Lake Tahoe, Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills.

Senior Legal Services are provided to all senior residents of El Dorado County, regardless of income. Senior Legal Services is a program of the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency. For additional information call (530) 621-6154 or (800) 510-2020.
