El Dorado Camera Club’s Judged Competition on Thursday Oct 15

 A photography print competition will be held at the El Dorado Camera Club’s monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. This judged competition is open to members and non-members for a small entry fee.

This month’s meeting will not be held at the usual location. The meeting will be at the Cameron Park Fire Station 89, 3200 Country Club Drive in Cameron Park.

There are multiple categories for color and black-and-white prints. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third place in each category plus monetary prizes for special theme and Best in Show winners. The special theme for this competition will be Beautiful Light.

Daryl Stinchfield will be judging the competition. Stinchfield became an avid photographer at the age of 9. Following a career with Southern Pacific and Union Pacific railroads, he enrolled at Sierra College where he rediscovered his passion for photography. He has exhibited at many events and galleries in the area and is currently employed as a contract photographer at Sierra College.

EDCC meetings are held the third Thursday of each month (except in July and December) at the Cameron Park Community Center, 2502 Country Club Drive, Cameron Park.
